5.1 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Lahore and Punjab, No Casualties Reported
A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck Lahore and several other regions in Punjab on Thursday, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC).
The earthquake’s epicenter was near Kharian, Punjab, at a depth of 15 kilometers. The tremors were recorded at a longitude of 73.82 East and latitude of 32.88 North.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of loss of life or property damage from the earthquake.
This incident follows a 5.3 magnitude earthquake that hit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad on November 13, affecting several areas including Nowshera, Peshawar, Abbottabad, and more.
The NSMC continues to monitor seismic activity in the region.
